CENTRAL SOUTHLAND

  • WINTON COMPUTER BOOTCAMP
    THURSDAYS (6 Week Course) 1 MARCH - 5 APRIL 6:30pm - 9pm
    Extend your digital literacy knowledge. You will cover Computer & Internet Basics, Learning YouTube & Facebook Basics, Buying/Selling on Trademe, and student directed lessons.
  • DIPTON WORKPLACE FIRST AID
    Wednesday 14 MARCH 8.30am - 5.30pm
    Attain your St John First Aid Level 1 certificate (valid for two years). Ideal for anyone who wants to learn basic first aid or needs to update their first aid qualification. Minimum qualification requirement for a workplace first aider.
  • WINTON WORKPLACE FIRST AID - REFRESHER
    Thursday 26 APRIL 9am - 4pm
    This 7 hour First Aid class is a revalidation for holders of any Level One First Aid certificate
    (less than two years old). Refresh your first aid skills, knowledge and confidence with the latest information and techniques through practical scenarios and workstations.
  • WINTON WORKPLACE FIRST AID
    Thursday 12  JULY 8.30am - 5.30pm
    Attain your St John First Aid Level 1 certificate (valid for two years). Ideal for anyone who wants to learn basic first aid or needs to update their first aid qualification. Minimum qualification requirement for a workplace first aider.
  • WINTON NCEA 4 U - Parents & Caregivers
    Classes run during the school terms - $20 each term
    Do you have gaps in your NCEA Qualification you would like to fill?
    We offer options in Winton, Gore & Nightcaps for parents and caregivers (over 18), to study in a relaxed environment allowing you to obtain Level 1, 2 or 3 NCEA credits. Classes run during the school term, with childcare provided during the class.
  • One-On-One C.V. PREPARATION with Amanda Keen WINTON
    Do you need to produce or update your C.V. but don't know where to start? We can work with you to get your basic C.V. up-to-date and ready for use.

  • NZ POLICE FIREARMS SAFETY TRAINING - WINTON
    Classes run monthly 7.30pm- 9.30pm - FREE
    Study the Fire Arms Code, learn Fire Arms Safety, gun safety and sit your Firearm Safety Test. Results of this test will then be forwarded to the Police Dept for processing of Fire Arms Licence.

  • OHAI FLAX WEAVING with Ilse Todd OHAI
    Mondays during School Term, 10am - 2pm
    Ohai Playcentre $20 for the term
    Meet weekly during the school term to practice the many skills associated with the traditional art of Māori flax weaving whilst gaining confidence in Tikanga Māori.Learn the techniques for creating your own kakahu (maori cloak)
  • OHAI BLOKES WORKSHOP
    Thursday's at 1.30pm - 4.30pm
    Ohai RSA Hall - FREE
    A chance for men to meet up each week to create, build, learn from others or just hang out for a chat. Work on things such as chainsaws, maintenance on lawnmowers, small building projects, painting, community projects & many more hands on tasks.

    Thursday 7 JUNE 8.30am - 5.30pm

WAKATIPU

  • ARROWTOWN KOROWAI WEAVING WANANGA with Robin Hill
    Fri 23rd @ 7pm – 9pm, Sat 24 & Sun 25 FEBRUARY @ 9am – 4pm
    Learn the basics of weaving korowai, taking home your own small korowai after this weekend workshop.
    You will learn how to prepare feathers, the basic stitch and how to cast-on. Then work on your project... completing the feather kaupapa of the korowai, the tāniko, turnover and mawhitiwhiti finishing.
  • ARROWTOWN KOROWAI TIPS & TECHNIQUES with Robin Hill
    Sat 14 & Sun 15 APRIL @ 9am – 4pm
    Advanced Korowai Weaving class for those who have already gained the basic skills. It covers optional techniques for casting on, ara endings, side treatments, tags, and various decorative ideas. We will make a sample piece so that you can learn all these skills.
